What the Koran Says About Jesus
Most Christians are surprised to learn how much the Koran says about Jesus.
He is mentioned by name 25 times in the Koran — more than the Prophet Muhammad himself. He is called the Messiah (Al-Masih). He is described as born of a virgin (Surah 19). He performed miracles. He is described as "a word from God" and "a spirit from Him" (Surah 4:171). He is exalted in this life and the next.
No other prophet in the Koran is described with these titles and attributes. The Koran itself points to something unique and extraordinary about Jesus of Nazareth.
For a Christian sharing his faith with a Muslim friend, this is not a problem — it is an open door. You do not have to argue about whether Jesus was remarkable. The Koran already agrees. The question you can ask is: if Jesus was all of this, what does the Bible say He fully is? And from there, the Gospel can flow.
Understanding what the Koran says about Jesus has transformed my conversations with Muslims. I encourage every believer to study it.
