This may surprise some people coming from me. But it is the plain truth of the Gospel: "God so loved the world — the whole world, every person in it — that He gave His only Son." (John 3:16)

The world includes Muslims. Every Muslim man, woman, and child on earth is loved by God, created in His image, and precious to Him. Christ died for them just as He died for you and me.

That changes everything about how we engage with Muslims. We are not their enemies. We are ambassadors of the One who loves them most. Our calling is not to condemn, but to carry the Good News to everyone who has not yet heard it — including the nearly two billion people who follow Islam.

I have met many Muslims in my years of ministry. I have found them to be, like all human beings, people of deep feeling, genuine searching, and real spiritual longing. That longing was placed in them by God, and it can only be satisfied by Christ.

Let us love Muslims as God loves them — fully, fearlessly, and without reservation.
